Stephen Colbert Fans Fight Hunger at WMU
Photo Property of Variety
The Stephen Colbert Fans Fight Hunger project is established to honor the Actor, Comedian, and Late Night Talk Show Host. All funds raised via the GoFundMe project will be used to purchase and operate a food truck (mobile kitchen) to feed food-insecure college students attending Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Free dinners will be served Monday through Thursday year-round to combat hunger at WMU and the surrounding campus community. The food truck will be owned and operated by the Broncos Kitchen Foundation. Student volunteers will manage the day-to-day operations of the food truck.
With the approval of Mr. Colbert, a host of pre-selected images of Steven will adorn the vehicle to honor his outstanding career and legacy as a humanitarian. Some of the charities that he has supported include the ALS Association, Comic Relief, Feeding America, and Save the Children.
